Bengali and Durga Puja:
Typical Bengali waits the whole year for the ultimate fulfillment of their emotional interest and cultural passion in form of his heart's closest festival: Durga Puja. This is a kind of festival that overcomes religious, professional, financial, social, personal conflicts and presents an open ground for inter-mixing. It brings "feel-good, eat-good, sleep-good, enjoy-good" atmosphere to tired people quite similar to a fresh and pleasant air once a year and the rest of the year people can spend thinking of earlier experiences and dreaming of the next ones.
In this space I have tried to aid Bengali people cherishing this feelings in flavor of suburban tour (my home town Burdwan) along with my camera in search of festive attractions. Don't know how successful I am in it...but sure of one thing: At end you will agree with me that next puja can be enjoyed nicely at any suburban/town..... Above one depicts modern look of “Devi” in “Chhou” culture, where the below one is the traditional motherly look.

Dear Sir,
It's great to see all the nice pics on your blog. It is really a matter of pride for us that our beloved teacher is engaged in these activities besides a responsible job at IBM.
